Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage and grow a book of business, while coordinating daily admin and customer service. You will resolve complex issues and ensure accuracy across policy administration and renewals.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), active P&C licensing, and CIC or equivalent preferred; strong MS Office skills and superb communication are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing is required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
• Maintain technical competence and industry knowledge.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Monitor policy expirations and renewals; prepare submissions and proposals.
• Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
