Commercial Insurance Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to take over a book of business supporting accounts ranging from mid-large market clients. Responsibilities include coordinating complex policy transactions, maintaining detailed and accurate records, and providing high-level client support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned commercial accounts, including quotes, coverage changes, renewals, and certificates
• Review policies and documents for consistency and compliance
• Communicate with clients and underwriters to address inquiries and gather information
• Analyze insurance-related contract requirements
• Assist Account Executives, complete special projects, and uphold confidentiality standards
• Provide excellent customer service and contribute positively to the team environment

Qualifications

• Ideally Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
• Active and valid State of Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance License
• Construction experience is ideal
• 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance account management, ideally handling middle & large market accounts
• Strong knowledge of middle market insurance products and carrier relationships
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, AMS360 and ImageRight; will consider experience with related agency management systems
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
