Job summary

New Edge Associates is seeking a Lending Associate to support the commercial lending team in a Florida-based bank environment. The role partners with Relationship Managers, lenders, analysts, and clients to manage loan origination, documentation, closing, and ongoing portfolio administration.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in commercial banking or lending, with direct Lending Associate experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional experience in commercial banking or commercial lending.
• Preferred experience as Lending Associate in a commercial banking environment.
• Direct experience supporting commercial lenders, relationship managers, or credit teams.
• Understanding of the commercial loan lifecycle: origination, underwriting, documentation, closing.
• Familiarity with CRE, C&I, term loans, and lines of credit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to commercial lenders and relationship managers throughout origination and servicing.
• Coordinate loan applications, collect financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and maintain loan files for underwriting and approval.
• Assist with credit packages, memorandums, and financial information.
• Coordinate with analysts and underwriters to facilitate analysis and reviews.
• Track loan requests through approval, closing, and funding stages.
• Assist with loan documentation including notes, security agreements, and collateral.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys, borrowers, and operations.
• Review conditions to ensure items are satisfied before funding.
• Support portfolio administration including renewals and covenant monitoring.
