Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician in New Jersey to partner with restaurant and hospitality managers on service solutions for cooking, refrigeration and ware-washing equipment.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, read diagrams, and coordinate with manufacturers for parts. On-call rotations and travel may be required; a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness to be involved with emergency on-call rotation including nights and weekends.
• Occasional overnight travel as assigned.
• Immigration sponsorship not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with restaurant and hospitality managers to offer service solutions for commercial kitchen equipment.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to read diagrams and schematics.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing and related equipment.
• Communicate with manufacturers for diagnoses and parts identification.
• Install parts in a timely and professional manner per policy.
• Promote other Smart Care services when needed.
• Produce accurate administrative documents (work orders, time reports, receipts, inventory).
