Job summary

Tech24 is seeking a Foodservice (Hot-Side) Technician in Austin, TX to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial cooking equipment. You’ll work independently in the field to minimize downtime and support business continuity, with emphasis on safe, reliable kitchen operations.

The role requires strong troubleshooting ability, mechanical aptitude, and excellent customer service. Compensation is transparent and benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial cooking equipment repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong gas and/or electric troubleshooting experience.
• Able to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Own industry standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc).
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient equipment operation.
• Test components and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Document service calls, parts used, and labor hours in the company system.
• Communicate repair status and timelines to customers clearly.
• Manage truck inventory to ensure parts/tools are stocked.
• Respond to service calls in a timely, professional manner.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development.
• Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
