Job summary

Tech24 in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Foodservice Technician (Hot-Side) to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial cooking equipment at customer sites. You’ll work independently in the field, ensuring kitchen equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and protect business continuity.

This role requires 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diagnosing, troubleshooting & repairing commercial cooking equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Strong gas and/or electric troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems & electrical components.
• Excellent customer service & communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs. & work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Own industry standard hand tools.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, combi-ovens, mixers, dishwashers, hot cases, flattops).
• Perform preventative maintenance for safe, efficient operation.
• Test components and verify operation after repairs.
• Document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and interactions in system.
• Communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers.
• Manage truck inventory to ensure parts/tools availability.
• Respond to service calls promptly and professionally.
• Represent the company with high-quality customer service.
• Follow safety regs and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
