Job summary

UST – A Tech24 Company in Austin, TX is hiring a Foodservice (Hot-Side) Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial cooking equipment at customer sites. You will work independently with a focus on safety and uptime, handling ovens, fryers, steamers, and other gear.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in repair, strong gas/electric troubleshooting, and solid mechanical/electrical knowledge, plus a clean driving record and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial cooking equipment repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong gas and/or electric troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions.
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers).
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient equipment operations.
• Test components and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system.
• Communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers.
• Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities.
• Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
