Responsibilities

• Manage projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.

• Review RFIs, submittals and change orders.

Project Manager - High-End Commercial Interiors | NYC

We’re working with a well-established New York City general contractor looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its team.

The role will focus on high-end commercial interior projects across NYC, with a particular interest in Project Managers who have delivered luxury restaurant, hospitality, retail, or similarly detailed interior build-outs.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors and client relationships while working closely with field teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully. Typical responsibilities include:

• Managing projects from preconstruction through completion
• Developing and maintaining project budgets and schedules
• Managing subcontractor procurement, buyout and contracts
• Reviewing and managing RFIs, submittals and change orders
• Coordinating closely with Superintendents and field teams
• Managing client, architect, consultant and subcontractor relationships
• Tracking project costs, forecasting and financial performance
• Leading project meetings and providing regular progress updates
• Managing project closeout, punch list and turnover

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor
• Strong background in commercial interior construction in New York City
• Experience delivering high-end / luxury interiors
• Restaurant and hospitality experience is particularly desirable
• Strong understanding of NYC construction, subcontractors and project delivery
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules and subcontractor packages
• Ability to manage fast-paced projects with demanding schedules and finish requirements
