Commercial Insurance Sr. Account Executive, Middle Market Accounts (Remote)

The Senior Account Executive (Middle Market) interacts daily with clients, developing and maintaining relationships with both clients and carrier representatives. Responsibilities include preparing applications, specifications, and marketing strategies for new business and renewals, often with little supervision. This role acts as the lead consultant and primary contact for clients, handling large, complex accounts with significant premiums and multifaceted coverages.

This is a full-time remote position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, requiring a confidential and dedicated workspace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
  2. Facilitate requests and needs of carriers on behalf of NFP's clients.
  3. Coordinate with the Claims Department on relevant claims for assigned clients.
  4. Manage multi-line accounts with complex coverages, including retrospective rating plans and foreign packages.
  5. Maintain follow-up systems to ensure receipt of policies, endorsements, and related information.
  6. Supervise and direct daily activities of Coordinators, Account Managers, and Account Executives.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact and visits.
  8. Keep clients informed about industry trends and regulatory issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent written communication skills, including clarity, editing, and presentation of data.
  • Self-confidence to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile financial reports.
  • Technical expertise with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Calm, courteous, and professional demeanor in handling situations.
Education and Experience
  • BA/BS preferred.
  • Over 5 years of industry experience, particularly with complex product lines.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Property & Casualty Broker's License required.
  • Certifications like CIC, CPCU, or other P&C designations preferred.
