Role Overview

The Senior Account Executive (Middle Market) interacts daily with clients, developing and maintaining relationships with both clients and carrier representatives. Responsibilities include preparing applications, specifications, and marketing strategies for new business and renewals, often handling large, complex accounts with significant premiums and multifaceted coverages. This is a full-time remote position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, requiring a dedicated, confidential workspace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
  2. Facilitate requests and needs of carriers on behalf of clients.
  3. Coordinate with the Claims Department on relevant claims.
  4. Manage multi-line accounts with complex coverages, including retrospective rating plans and foreign packages.
  5. Maintain follow-up systems to ensure receipt of policies, endorsements, and related information.
  6. Supervise and direct daily activities of team members such as Coordinators, Account Managers, and other Account Executives.
  7. Build and sustain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact and visits.
  8. Keep clients informed about industry trends, regulatory issues, and relevant events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent written communication, including clear writing, editing, and presenting numeric data.
  • Confidence to make independent decisions.
  • Effective interaction with diverse personalities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile financial reports.
  • Technical expertise combined with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor in handling situations calmly and courteously.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Over 5 years of industry and product line experience.
  • Property & Casualty Broker's License required.
  • CIC, CPCU, or similar designations preferred.
