The Senior Account Executive (Middle Market) interacts daily with clients, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and carrier representatives. Responsibilities include preparing applications, marketing strategies for new business, and renewals, often independently handling complex lines. This role acts as the lead consultant and primary contact for clients, possibly managing large, complex accounts with significant premiums and multifaceted coverages.

This is a full-time remote position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, requiring a confidential, uninterrupted workspace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
  2. Facilitate requests and needs of carriers on behalf of clients.
  3. Coordinate with the Claims Department regarding relevant claims.
  4. Manage multi-line accounts with complex coverages, including retrospective rating plans and foreign packages.
  5. Maintain follow-up systems to ensure receipt of policies, endorsements, and other information.
  6. Supervise and direct daily activities of Coordinators, Account Managers, and Account Executives.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact and visits.
  8. Keep clients informed about industry trends, regulatory issues, and events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent written communication skills, including editing and presenting data effectively.
  • Confident decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse personalities.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile financial reports.
  • Technical expertise with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor in handling situations.
Education and Experience
  • BA/BS preferred.
  • Over 5 years of industry and product line experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registration
  • Property & Casualty Broker's License required.
  • Designations like CIC, CPCU preferred.
