Job summary

Comparion Insurance Agency in the Northeast seeks a Commercial Insurance Specialist who will prospect small business opportunities, advise on coverages, and coordinate with multiple carriers to place and service policies. You will build relationships with referrals, manage a book of business under company guidelines, and strive to meet production and cross-sell goals.

Requires knowledge of BOP, GL, property, auto, workers’ comp, cyber, umbrella, and surety bonds; license preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with small commercial products: BOP, GL, property, commercial auto, workers’ comp, cyber, umbrella and surety/bonds.
• Experience networking and driving top-of-funnel leads from various sources.
• Experience using agency management systems and comparative raters.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business background plus 1–3 years of insurance or sales/service-related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new small commercial accounts (revenues under $10M) through prospecting and referrals.
• Counsel prospects on protection and coverage and present quotes from multiple carriers.
• Meet goals for new business volume and cross-sell opportunities.
• Coordinate policy placement and renewals with carriers and internal partners.
• Maintain relationships with referring agents and provide timely service for endorsements and claims.
