Job Description

We are seeking experienced Risk Control Consultants with 10+ years of experience in commercial Property & Casualty Risk Control, preferably with a major insurance carrier or national broker. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to quality and timeliness. Knowledge or experience in commercial insurance, inspections, or fire and safety assessments is desirable.

Your responsibilities will include scheduling on-site surveys, providing risk evaluations, and preparing risk improvement reports for insurance clients. These reports assist in underwriting and may include recommendations to mitigate potential losses. You will manage your assignments, secure customer appointments within your territory, and complete work on time.

Additional tasks may involve working on special projects or conducting more complex risk assessments that leverage your education, certifications, and overall risk control skills. The insured businesses range from Middle Market to large multi-location commercial operations.

Work Environment & Travel

Consultants will work remotely from their home or office, traveling locally to assess various commercial properties, including retail, hospitality, residential, construction sites, manufacturing facilities, churches, and schools. You will evaluate risks across multiple insurance lines, including Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk.

  • Reliable vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Risk Control Consulting experience
  • Experience with major carriers or brokers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or Physical Sciences (preferred)
  • CSP or ARM certifications (preferred)
  • Experience in commercial lines property/casualty loss control, underwriting, or claims adjustment
  • Experience in commercial insurance inspections and fire/life safety investigations
