Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support light and heavy commercial systems across North America. The role involves service, maintenance, and installation activities, working with pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, and related equipment.

Candidates must be union-affiliated or willing to join, have at least 3 years of HVAC troubleshooting experience, be able to travel 10–20% within the region, and hold a valid driver's license and EPA license.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada.
• Minimum of three (3) years Commercial and/or industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry (Rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors).
• Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, etc. of pumps, fans, compressors.
• Able to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines and to travel 10%–20% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions and participate in Service Plus Rewards program.
• Work with other local market mechanics as well as Servicemen and apprentices.
• Prioritize safety in all forms and communicate issues clearly to customers.
