Job summary

LONG Building Technologies in Colorado Springs is seeking a Service Technician I to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install commercial HVAC systems. You will work with a team yet perform many tasks independently using LONG's service procedures, with a company vehicle, mobile phone, and work attire provided.

You will deliver high-quality maintenance and customer service, resolve system issues efficiently, and advance toward the Service Technician II role through training and hands-on practice

Qualifications

• 2+ years working with commercial HVAC systems
• Able to replace motors and connect HVAC components independently
• Knowledge of basic building codes and regulations
• Proficient in reading mechanical schematics
• Willing to work after-hours when needed
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle safely
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Valid CFC Refrigeration certificate

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, economizer, VAV box, and controls.
• Perform basic repairs using soldering, brazing, pipe fitting, and wiring.
• Install HVAC equipment including piping, ducting, and start-ups.
• Complete required paperwork and deliver excellent customer service.
• Adhere to safety regulations and LONG procedures.
