Job summary

Trane Technologies in Texas seeks a primary service and maintenance contact for Rental Service customers. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and startup HVAC systems in commercial environments, using your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts.

You'll collaborate with internal and external partners on site and at the Rental Services depot to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• This role requires 2–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC or equivalent education.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).

Responsibilities

• End-to-end testing, starting up, commissioning and servicing on assigned projects.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and diagnose, repair, and service equipment at customer sites or Rental Services depots.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site requirements and forecast issues.
• Review building layouts, gather materials and synchronize on-site work.
• Utilize blueprints or engineering specs and a variety of hand-tools to diagnose and repair units.
• Uphold safety standards and manage company assets; work overtime as needed.
