Job summary

Trane Technologies on-site role seeking an HVAC Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and startup of rental HVAC systems in a defined market.

You will work with customers and Project Managers, read blueprints, and use hand tools while upholding safety standards. Requires 2–5 years of commercial HVAC experience and a High School Diploma or GED; EPA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience is required.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld devices (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
• EPA Certification Preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and startup of rental HVAC systems.
• Serve as the direct rental customer contact and provide on-site service and repairs.
• Coordinate with team leader and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs.
• Follow blueprints or engineering specs and use tools to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintain safety standards and document asset condition.
