Job summary

Conditioned Air Systems Inc. seeks a Commercial Start-up Technician to lead startup and optimization of high‑performance HVAC systems in Gainesville, GA. You will ensure peak efficiency from day one across residential, commercial, and industrial projects within a family‑owned environment.

You will interpret blueprints and manuals, diagnose startup issues, calibrate controls, and coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure code compliance and reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in HVAC service, startup, or a certified program.
• Universal EPA 608 certification is required.
• Deep knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, and commercial refrigeration systems.
• Able to read and troubleshoot control wiring and high-voltage diagrams.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-functional inspections and startup procedures for commercial HVAC systems.
• Interpret blueprints, submittals, and manuals to meet engineering specs.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, gas, and airflow issues during startup.
• Calibrate controls and sensors to optimize performance and energy use.
• Repair compressors, condensers, and piping with precise brazing.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams and document system performance.
• Communicate status updates and safety protocols clearly to site leads.
