Brian Cox Mechanical, Inc. (BCM), an industry leading HVAC contractor headquartered in Poway California, has an opening for a Commercial Startup HVAC Technician.
The Startup Technician is responsible for performing startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation for a wide range of HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and experience working with commercial HVAC systems. Equipment serviced includes Packaged rooftop units; split systems; VRF/VRV systems; Water sources heat pumps; Boilers; Pumps; Cooling towers; and variable frequency drivers.

Heavy Lifting: Frequently lift and carry materials, tools, weighing up to 50–75 lbs.
Standing & Walking: Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving around job sites.

Stooping & Kneeling: Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling in confined spaces.
Manual Dexterity: Use of hands and arms for cutting threading, welding, and assembling.
Visual & Hearing Requirements: Ability to read blueprints, measure accurately, and detect sounds of leaks or machinery.
Environmental Conditions: Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and sometimes hazardous materials.
