Job summary

Daikin Applied in the Washington, DC to MD area is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician I to maintain and repair commercial HVAC equipment across rooftops, chillers, boilers and related systems. You will receive training through hands-on programs and join a safety‑conscious team focused on growth and development.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, documenting service activities, and interacting with customers while ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate’s degree or HVAC certificate preferred.
• 0-2 years of related work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• Commercial HVAC industry experience preferred.
• First aid / CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, replacing filters and belts, lubrication.
• Assist in repair/replacement of defective equipment or wiring in HVAC systems.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards and other reports.
• Interact with customers and explain technical information clearly.
• Participate in training programs and maintain required certifications.
• Follow safety policies and keep work area clean.
