Job summary

Daikin Applied, a leading HVAC company, is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician I to service commercial and industrial equipment, gain comprehensive training, and work on rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and more in the DC/VA area.

You will join a growth-focused team with safety and quality at the forefront, supporting customers with timely service and professional communication on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• HVAC certificate from technical school/associate degree preferred.
• 0-2 years related work experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required.
• Local licenses/training as required by law.
• Commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire provided during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts, and proper lubrication.
• Assist in repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring for fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condensers.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Assist with warranty service by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tips, and other articles promptly.
• Interact with customers by offering status reports and explaining technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in training through regional technicians, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning; maintain certifications and develop new skills.
• Ensure clean work area and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Follow OSHA and Daikin safety policies and procedures.
