Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician II for on-site work in the Washington DC / Bowie, MD area. You will service a range of commercial and industrial equipment, with access to training programs and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs on rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and related systems, plus leading junior technicians and maintaining accurate service records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree or HVAC certification (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC or related industry.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred).
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
• Current first aid / CPR card (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, replacing filters and belts, and lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and components on HVAC systems.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
• Perform warranty service inspections and testing of HVAC equipment.
• Lead Level I technicians and demonstrate troubleshooting steps.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and service reports promptly.
• Communicate status to customers before, during, and after service visits.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications and safety policies.
