Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician I to service commercial and industrial equipment in the Baltimore area and surrounding locations. You will participate in comprehensive training and work on rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and more, with opportunities to grow through Daikin Learning.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, repairs, and warranty support, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Technician Certification is preferred.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (training provided on onboarding).
• Current CPR/First Aid card preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Commercial HVAC industry experience preferred.
• EPA certification and safety trainings are valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts, and lubrication.
• Assist in repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, RTUs, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Assist with warranty service by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other documentation timely.
• Interact with customers by providing status reports and explaining technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in training through Daikin Learning and keep certifications current.
• Ensure a clean work area and adherence to safety policies.
• Follow OSHA and Daikin safety policies.
