Qualifications

• Enrolled or planning enrollment or completed formal training at community college or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, typical components, basic troubleshooting and typical maintenance procedures.
• Ability to identify HVAC equipment and components of HVAC equipment: Packaged split, WSHP, Chiller, Tower, Pump.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic electro-mechanical devices.
• Understands the basics of air distribution systems and how they operate.
• Ability to identify and use hand tools.
• 0-1 Years of Experience in commercial HVAC service.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions.
• Ability to write reports.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform.
• Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures on commercial and/or industrial HVAC equipment.
• Drive to and from customer sites as needed.
• Assist the senior level HVAC technicians.
• Inventory parts, material and labor per job.
• Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Observe, report and correct unsafe work environments.
• Will be included in on call rotation as needed according to business volume and requirements.
• Take care of and maintain company tools and company vehicle.
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.
