Job summary

Walmart is seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair operations across its facility network in Bloomington, MN. The role involves maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration HVAC systems using hand, digital and power tools, and documenting work orders.

Candidates must hold EPA Type I/II or Universal certification, have 2 years of experience, and a valid Minnesota driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and pass MVR.
• 18 years or older with high school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/R certification options available (see qualifications).
• Type I/II or Universal EPA certification maintained.
• HVAC-R/mechanical journeyman qualification where required.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee repair of Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration HVAC equipment using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Support stores and store associates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Perform work according to Walmart safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
