Job summary

Walmart Hastings, MN is seeking a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment across our local store facilities.

You will diagnose issues, respond to emergencies, use hand, digital and power tools, follow safety guidelines, and lift up to 75 pounds while climbing ladders. This role supports a fast-paced team focused on reliability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using HVAC/R skills and tools.
• Use work orders to receive repairs and document activities for Stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete training to operate equipment safely and comply with OSHA/EPA guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights frequently.
