RJH Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service in the DC Metro Area is hiring a Commercial HVAC-R Service Technician. The role offers $40-$55 per hour, full-time, with overtime opportunities.

You will service and troubleshoot commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across diverse environments, while communicating professionally with customers and facility teams to drive reliable solutions. Ideal candidates have at least 4+ years of experience, EPA Universal Refrigerant certification, and a valid

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration experience.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant certification required.
• Valid drivers license and insurable driving record.
• Journeyman or Master HVAC license preferred.
• Vocational or technical college training preferred.
• CFESA certification a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Work across diverse commercial environments, including commercial kitchens, government facilities, scientific laboratories, research facilities, institutions and commercial properties.
• Communicate professionally with customers and facility teams.
• Diagnose equipment issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Collaborate with experienced technicians and managers when additional support is needed.
• Identify opportunities for maintenance contracts and earn commissions on qualified leads.
