Job summary

Spurk HVAC, LLC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to support estimating and project coordination for commercial HVAC projects from bid through completion. The role offers growth into estimating or project management and requires collaboration with project managers, field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.

Ideal candidates have commercial HVAC experience and are eager to grow into estimation or project management, working across the entire project

Qualifications

• Two+ years in commercial HVAC, estimating, or project coordination.
• Ability to read mechanical plans and construction docs.
• Experience with takeoffs and vendor pricing is preferred.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Excellent organization and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review commercial HVAC plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Complete equipment, material, and labor takeoffs.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing and prepare project estimates.
• Identify equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, insulation, and other project requirements.
• Prepare proposals and identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential project risks.
• Assist with equipment selection, value engineering, and purchasing.
• Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders.
• Monitor equipment lead times, deliveries, project costs, and schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors.
• Assist with material planning and project startup.
• Visit jobsites to review conditions and resolve coordination issues.
• Support projects through completion and closeout.

We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to support estimating and project coordination for commercial HVAC projects from bid through completion.

What You'll Do

Qualifications

• Two or more years of commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, estimating, project coordination, project management, or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and installation practices
• Ability to read mechanical plans, specifications, equipment schedules, and construction documents
• Understanding of ductwork, refrigerant piping, hydronic piping, controls, insulation, and commercial HVAC systems
• Commercial HVAC field experience is highly valued
• Estimating, construction takeoff, or project coordination experience is preferred
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple bids and projects while meeting deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and standard business software
• Experience with HVAC estimating, takeoff, construction, or project management software is a plus
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally when needed
