Spurk HVAC, LLC. is seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator / Assistant Project Manager in Warrendale to support estimating and project coordination for commercial HVAC projects from bid through completion.

This role offers growth into full estimating responsibility or a Commercial HVAC Project Manager position, working with project managers, field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to drive projects to successful installations.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of commercial HVAC, estimating, or project coordination experience.
• Ability to read mechanical plans, specs and construction docs.
• Strong math and analytical abilities; detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Review HVAC plans, specs, and bid documents.
• Perform equipment, material, and labor takeoffs.
• Obtain pricing from vendors/subcontractors and prepare estimates.
• Identify equipment and system requirements and risks.
• Prepare proposals and identify scope gaps and exclusions.
• Assist with equipment selection, VE, and purchasing.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and POs.
• Coordinate with project managers, field teams, vendors, and GCs.
• Support startup and closeout phases of projects.
• Visit jobsites to review conditions and coordinate issues.

We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to support estimating and project coordination for commercial HVAC projects from bid through completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial HVAC experience who wants to grow into estimating or project management. You will work with project managers, field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers while gaining experience across the entire commercial project process.

Compensation

• $65,000-$85,000 annually based on experience and qualifications

What You'll Do

• Review commercial HVAC plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Complete equipment, material, and labor takeoffs
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing and prepare project estimates
• Identify equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, insulation, and other project requirements
• Prepare proposals and identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential project risks
• Assist with equipment selection, value engineering, and purchasing
• Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders
• Monitor equipment lead times, deliveries, project costs, and schedules
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors
• Assist with material planning and project startup
• Visit jobsites when needed to review project conditions and resolve coordination issues
• Support projects through completion and closeout

Qualifications

• Two or more years of commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, estimating, project coordination, project management, or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and installation practices
• Ability to read mechanical plans, specifications, equipment schedules, and construction documents
• Understanding of ductwork, refrigerant piping, hydronic piping, controls, insulation, and commercial HVAC systems
• Commercial HVAC field experience is highly valued
• Estimating, construction takeoff, or project coordination experience is preferred
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple bids and projects while meeting deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and standard business software
• Experience with HVAC estimating, takeoff, construction, or project management software is a plus
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally when needed
