Job summary

Budd Mechanical Systems in Hammond, IN is seeking an experienced HVAC estimator and project manager to take ownership of commercial project bids from plans to closeout.

You will read mechanical plans, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, manage timelines and profitability, and contribute to a strong, family-owned team with 105 years of local history.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC estimating/project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems & construction practices.
• Ability to read mechanical plans & specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, & problem-solving skills.
• Experience with estimating & construction management software preferred.
• HVAC field experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate commercial HVAC projects from plans, specifications, & bid documents.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs & obtain vendor/subcontractor pricing.
• Manage projects from contract award through completion and closeout.
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, vendors, subcontractors, & field personnel.
