Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician in Patterson, NJ. The role involves troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance to keep commercial facilities and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of related experience, HVAC/electrical/plumbing knowledge, and a valid driver's license. The position requires standing, lifting up to 50–75 lbs, and daily travel between client locations.

Qualifications

• Relevant training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building maintenance valued.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and routine inspections on commercial buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Complete work orders involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, lighting, and general facility repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve building maintenance issues to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
• Inspect assets, document completed work, and maintain accurate service reports using mobile technology.
• Coordinate materials and supplies needed to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining strong relationships with property stakeholders.
• Follow OSHA regulations, safety standards, and maintenance procedures at all times.
• Prepare repair recommendations, support project estimates, and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required.

• Sewer line cleanout and plumbing repair experience preferred.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in various commercial property environments.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capable of safely working around mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and maintenance tools.
• Daily travel between customer locations required.
