Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Assistant Estimator in Worcester, MA to own and manage construction estimates within an on-site environment. You will work closely with the preconstruction and operations teams to deliver accurate bids for complex commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Experience in project bidding, budgeting, MTO, negotiation and cost analysis.
• Strong math and IT abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in CM/Engineering; professional certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for bids and budgets.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and architects on requirements.
• Analyze designs and specs to determine project costs.
• Use MTO to calculate material quantities.
• Conduct cost analyses and value engineering.
• Participate in negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor market trends to secure best prices.
• Prepare detailed estimates and reports for stakeholders.
• Maintain updated project cost databases.
• Ensure compliance with company estimating standards.
