Job summary

Jasurda Search Group is seeking an experienced Estimator in the Curtis Bay, MD area to prepare accurate cost estimates for retail and distribution construction projects, from small rollouts to large ground-up builds.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in commercial estimating, proficiency with Takeoff/PlanSwift/Bluebeam and Excel, and can manage multiple bids under deadline pressure. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 with 401(k) and disability insurance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction.
• Retail and/or distribution center construction experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and Excel.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Salary: $90,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate cost estimates for ground-up construction, renovations, and rollout projects.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing.

Our client is a well-established, full-service commercial general contractor with nearly 40 years in business, specializing in retail, distribution, and multiuse construction. The company delivers ground-up and renovation projects ranging from small rollouts to large-scale builds exceeding 500,000 square feet and maintains a portfolio of long-tenured national retail and logistics clients.

We are seeking an Estimator to join their team in the Curtis Bay, MD area. This role will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for retail and distribution construction projects, from small rollouts and remodels to large-scale ground-up builds. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience estimating retail and/or distribution center projects and is comfortable managing multiple bids in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate cost estimates for ground-up construction, renovations, and rollout projects

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction
• Retail and/or distribution center construction experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under deadline pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered)
