Job summary

Responsibilities

• Use a range of tools and testing devices to diagnose and repair equipment.

Commercial Equipment Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Commercial Equipment Technician. If you have a passion for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of Restaurant commercial equipment, this job is for you. In this role, you will apply your comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical maintenance, and carpentry to ensure our commercial equipment is always in top‑notch condition. This is a full‑time position with competitive remuneration and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of equipment does not deteriorate.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve equipment related problems.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical maintenance, and carpentry.
• Proven experience as a technician with a strong understanding of commercial equipment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, electrical testing devices, and other equipment necessary for the job.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
• A valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further training from a vocational school will be a plus.
