Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Commercial Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain restaurant equipment. The role requires strong electrical, mechanical, and carpentry skills, along with safety/ PPE awareness.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical maintenance, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and systems running smoothly.
• Inspecting, operating, or testing machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Diagnosing mechanical problems and planning repairs from manuals and diagrams.
• Assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipes, machinery, or equipment.
• Inspecting drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, and replacing filters as needed.
• Using tools from hammers to electrical testing devices as required.
• Planning repair work using diagrams, drawings, or schematics.
• Collaborating with the team to troubleshoot equipment problems.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of equipment does not deteriorate.
• Inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other maintenance actions, following checklists.
• Using tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Planning and laying out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
• Collaborating with the team to troubleshoot and solve equipment related problems.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical maintenance, and carpentry.
• Proven experience as a technician with a strong understanding of commercial equipment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, electrical testing devices, and other equipment necessary for the job.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
• A valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further training from a vocational school will be a plus.
