Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician, you will be responsible for handling, maintaining, and repairing our diverse range of heavy machinery and equipment, including diesel engines, agricultural equipment, forklifts, lifts, and cleaning equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems, an eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular diagnostic tests on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
• Carry out heavy equipment repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
• Oversee the installation and operation of new machinery and equipment.
• Provide recommendations for improving equipment performance and longevity.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on machinery.
• Work closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, equipment advancements, and maintenance methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician in the Manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with diesel engines, agricultural equipment, forklifts, lifts, and cleaning equipment.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the Manufacturing industry.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong physical condition and endurance, capable of lifting heavy machinery and working in physically demanding conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, if necessary.
