Jobot is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician in Wauwatosa, WI. This permanent, full-time on-site role offers a competitive hourly salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy machinery including diesel engines, agricultural equipment, forklifts, lifts, and cleaning devices, while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Some weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician in the Manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with diesel engines, agricultural equipment, forklifts, lifts, and cleaning equipment.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the Manufacturing industry.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong physical condition and endurance, capable of lifting heavy machinery and working in physically demanding conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
• Carry out heavy equipment repairs in a timely and efficient manner.

• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on machinery.

• Stay updated on industry trends, equipment advancements, and maintenance methods.
