Job description

Job Description Summary

Coach, drive, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and practices towards building a culture of continuous improvement. Lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing business performance, reducing employee burden, and delivering outstanding customer impact. Drive lean transformation to achieve significant improvements in business metrics by partnering with leaders in business management roles.

This role will support the implementation of the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating model within Commercial Engines and Services. The ideal candidate will have transactional and operational business process lean experience, with foundational knowledge of principles, approaches, and lean methodology.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead the deployment, coaching, and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across CES and teams.
  2. Lead kaizen and improvement projects with the goal of achieving operational targets using KPI-based performance management and SQDC principles.
  3. Coach and collaborate with all organizational levels, including Subject Matter Experts, Support Staff, and Leadership, to foster a Lean Culture and drive Continuous Improvement.
  4. Communicate solutions within functions and with cross-functional partners.
  5. Explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus, utilizing persuasion skills to influence others.
  6. Coach organizational leaders to deploy Value Stream Management and establish Problem Solving, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices to improve business and customer outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading or managing teams in a Lean environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Relocation availability to our headquarters in Evendale, OH.
Desired Characteristics and Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with Lean Transformation, Principles & Tools, preferably in a transactional environment.
  • Proven experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and applying lean methods.
  • Strong bias for action, capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Analytical problem solver, challenge existing processes, critical thinker.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance metrics and measure improvement effectiveness.
