Job description

**Job Description Summary**

Coach, drive, and lead lean behaviors, principles, and practices towards building a culture of continuous improvement. Coach and lead process improvement projects aiming for enhanced business performance, reduced employee burden, and outstanding customer impact. Drive lean transformation resulting in significant improvements in business metrics by partnering with leaders in business management roles.

This role will support the implementation of the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating model within Commercial Engines and Services. The ideal candidate will have transactional and operational business process lean experience, foundational knowledge of lean principles, approaches, and methodologies.

**Job Description**

**_Essential Responsibilities_**

  1. Lead the deployment, coaching, and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across CES and teams.
  2. Lead kaizen and improvement projects to achieve operational goals using KPI-based performance management and SQDC principles.
  3. Coach and collaborate with all organizational levels, including Subject Matter Experts, Support Staff, and Leadership, to foster a Lean Culture and drive Continuous Improvement.
  4. Communicate solutions within functions and cross-functional partner organizations.
  5. Explain difficult or sensitive information, build consensus, and influence others through persuasion skills.
  6. Coach organizational leaders to deploy Value Stream Management and establish Problem Solving, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices to improve business and customer outcomes.

**Minimum Qualifications/Requirements**

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading or managing teams in a Lean environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Willing to relocate to Evendale, OH, as relocation is offered only to candidates willing to move to our headquarters.

**Desired Characteristics and Experience**

  • At least 10 years’ experience with Lean Transformation, Principles & Tools, preferably in a transactional environment.
  • Proven experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and applying lean methods.
  • Bias for action with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance metrics and measure improvement initiatives.
  • Humility, receptiveness, agility, eagerness to learn.
  • Transparency, candor, constructive contribution.
  • Quick learner, strategic prioritization, and commitment.
  • Leadership qualities: strong communication, decision-making, collaboration skills.
