Job summary

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Electrician to support tenant improvement projects across the Hawaiian Islands. The role requires night shifts and occasional travel between islands, with overtime opportunities and travel as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of electrical commercial construction experience, be able to commute to Oahu job sites, and work third shifts. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and meeting project schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of electrical commercial construction experience.
• Ability to commute to various jobsites on Oahu (Hawaii).
• Must be available to work third shifts or overnight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit and cabling (EMT, PVC, RMC, MC cable, CAT5/6) per project specs.
• Install wiring, raceways, panels, receptacles, switches and lighting per codes.
• Terminate conductors in panels, switchgear and distribution equipment; wire and troubleshoot control panels.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and perform quality control tests; read blueprints and schematics.
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to meet project schedules; follow safety procedures.

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services, supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services for our clients. We are currently seeking a Commercial Electrician to support tenant improvement projects throughout the Hawaiian Islands. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts and occasional travel assignments between the islands.

Schedule

• Sunday to Thursday 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
• Overtime available but not guaranteed
• Travel opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Install, bend, route, and secure conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, RMC, flexible conduit, MC cable, and CAT5/6 cabling, as specified for each project
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, and related commercial electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
• Pull, identify, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
• Install, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, motor controls, and related electrical components
• Troubleshoot electrical installation issues, malfunctions, and quality control test
• Install refrigeration motor control wiring, as applicable; experience preferred
• Properly wire-up Ansul fire suppression systems; experience preferred
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, panel schedules, and construction drawings to determine installation requirements
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete work efficiently and meet project schedules
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Perform additional jobsite duties as assigned by the foreman

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of electrical commercial construction experience
• Ability to commute to various jobsites on Oahu
• Must be available to work third shifts or overnight schedules as the regular work schedule
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
