Job summary

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician licensed in Hawaii to support tenant improvements and new construction on Oahu. The role requires night shifts Sunday-Thursday with potential overtime and travel opportunities.

The ideal candidate installs and troubleshoots commercial electrical systems, reads schematics and blueprints, and coordinates with foremen and trades to meet project milestones while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Current Hawaii journeyman electrician license
• Able to commute to multiple jobsites on Oahu
• Available for third shift or overnight schedule
• Able to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 lb) in varying conditions

Responsibilities

• Install, bend, route, and secure conduit and cabling per project specs
• Install wiring, raceways, receptacles, switches, lighting, and related components
• Pull, identify, and terminate conductors in panels and distribution systems
• Troubleshoot electrical installations and quality control issues
• Read blueprints and construction drawings to determine installation requirements
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to meet project schedules
• Follow safety procedures and maintain organized work areas
• Perform additional jobsite duties as assigned

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted contractor specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services. We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician with a valid Hawaii journeyman electrician license to support tenant improvement and new construction projects.

Job Type

Full-time

Schedule

• Sunday to Thursday 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
• Overtime available but not guaranteed
• Travel opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Install, bend, route, and secure conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, RMC, flexible conduit, MC cable, and CAT5/6 cabling, as specified for each project
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, and related commercial electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
• Pull, identify, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment
• Install, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, motor controls, and related electrical components
• Troubleshoot electrical installation issues, malfunctions, and quality control test
• Install refrigeration motor control wiring, as applicable; experience preferred
• Properly wire-up Ansul fire suppression systems; experience preferred
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, panel schedules, and construction drawings to determine installation requirements
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete work efficiently and meet project schedules
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Perform additional jobsite duties as assigned by the foreman

Requirements

• Current journeyman electrical license issued by the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA)
• Ability to commute to various jobsites on Oahu
• Must be available to work third shifts or overnight schedules as the regular work schedule
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
