Job summary

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. seeks a Journeyman Electrician with a Hawaii license for tenant improvements and new construction projects. Work is Sunday to Thursday, 9 p.m.

to 5:30 a.m., with overtime and travel opportunities. You will install conduit, wiring, and electrical components, read blueprints, and coordinate with foremen and other trades to ensure safe, compliant installations. Qualifications

• Must have a current Hawaii journeyman electrical license.
• Ability to commute to various jobsites on Oahu.
• Willingness to work third shifts or overnight schedules.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting up to 50 pounds).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Install, bend, route, and secure conduit and cabling per project specs and codes.
• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures.
• Pull and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, and distribution systems.
• Wire and troubleshoot control panels and motor controls.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and perform quality checks.
• Install refrigeration motor control wiring; experience preferred.
• Wire Ansul fire suppression systems; experience preferred.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation needs.
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to meet schedules.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean.

Description

Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted contractor specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services. We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician with a valid Hawaii journeyman electrician license to support tenant improvement and new construction projects.

Schedule

• Sunday to Thursday 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.


• Overtime available but not guaranteed


• Travel opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Install, bend, route, and secure conduit and cabling, including EMT, PVC, RMC, flexible conduit, MC cable, and CAT5/6 cabling, as specified for each project


• Install wiring, raceways, junction boxes, receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, and related commercial electrical components in accordance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes


• Pull, identify, and terminate conductors in panels, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and control equipment


• Install, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, motor controls, and related electrical components


• Troubleshoot electrical installation issues, malfunctions, and quality control test


• Install refrigeration motor control wiring, as applicable; experience preferred


• Properly wire-up Ansul fire suppression systems; experience preferred


• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, panel schedules, and construction drawings to determine installation requirements


• Coordinate with foremen and other trades to complete work efficiently and meet project schedules


• Follow company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas


• Perform additional jobsite duties as assigned by the foreman

Requirements

• Current journeyman electrical license issued by the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA)


• Ability to commute to various jobsites on Oahu


• Must be available to work third shifts or overnight schedules as the regular work schedule


• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs


• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
