Job summary

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical in Charlottesville seeks an Electrical Foreman to lead installation on electrical projects, train apprentices, and ensure safety. You will supervise crews, read blueprints, perform conduit work, and coordinate with customers to deliver high-quality results.

Journeyman or Master electrician card is preferred. We value leadership, communication, safety, and the ability to mentor others while driving on-site performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Journeyman or Master card preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Commitment to safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel completing electrical building projects.
• Assign tasks, inspect work, monitor performance, read blueprints, ensure quality, and manage customer relations.
• Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices.
• Experience seeing installs from start to finish.
• Ability to read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints.
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices.

The Role

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for leading the install of your assigned electrical project, along with training and teaching apprentices and helpers.

What You'll Do

• Supervise personnel completing electrical building projects
• Assigning tasks, inspecting electricians' work, monitoring team performance, reading blueprints, making sure quality standards are respected, and handling customer relations
• Thorough knowledge in the electrical trade
• Cutting, bending, threading and installation of EMT conduit of all sizes
• Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc.
• Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices
• Experience seeing installs from start to finish
• Ability to read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints
• Ability to instruct and teach the above tasks.
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
