Job summary

Loenbro Southeast is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects. You will analyze project plans, specifications, labor requirements, material costs, subcontractor pricing, and schedules to develop bid proposals, working closely with project managers, operations teams, vendors, and clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of commercial electrical systems, methods, and materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems and components.
• Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Analyze project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.
• Coordinate with project managers and field leadership during project handoff.
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and historical cost information.
• Review change order requests and prepare cost impacts as required.
• Ensure estimates comply with NEC requirements, local codes, and customer specifications.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project competitiveness.
• Support contract negotiations and clarification meetings with clients.
• Track bid results and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
