Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects. The role involves analyzing plans, specifications, labor needs, materials, and subcontractor pricing to craft comprehensive bids while coordinating with project managers and vendors.

Responsibilities include takeoffs, cost development, vendor negotiations, bid documentation, and change order assessments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of commercial electrical systems, methods, and materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems and components.
• Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Analyze project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.
• Coordinate with project managers and field leadership during handoff.
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and historical cost information.
• Review change order requests and prepare cost impacts.
