Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Commercial Electrical Estimator to join Loenbro Southeast. This role analyzes plans, specs, labor, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to prepare accurate bid proposals for electrical construction projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, operations teams, vendors, and clients throughout bidding and preconstruction, ensuring NEC compliance and competitive outcomes while maintaining estimating databases and cost information.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of NEC and local codes related to electrical projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specs, contracts, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and documentation.
• Analyze risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.
• Coordinate with project managers and field leadership during handoff.
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and cost data.
