Job summary

Loenbro, LLC seeks a Commercial Electrical Estimator to develop accurate and competitive bid proposals for complex electrical construction projects. You will analyze plans, specifications, costs, and schedules, coordinating with project teams to ensure NEC and client requirements are met.

This role offers growth within Loenbro Southeast, leveraging software tools, supplier networks, and field insights to improve bid competitiveness and win rates. Office-based with site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of commercial electrical systems, methods, and materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Preferred: Associate/Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Preferred: Estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, Bluebeam, or Trimble.
• Preferred: Journeyman or Master Electrician license.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems and components.
• Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Analyze project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.
• Coordinate with project managers and field leadership during project handoff.
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and historical cost information.
• Review change order requests and prepare cost impacts as required.
• Ensure estimates comply with NEC requirements, local codes, and customer specifications.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project competitiveness.
• Support contract negotiations and clarification meetings with clients.
• Track bid results and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
