Job summary

Loenbro, LLC is seeking a Commercial Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects across the Loenbro Southeast region. You will review drawings, specs, and bid documents, develop labor, material, and subcontractor costs, and coordinate with project managers and vendors.

This role requires 3+ years of estimating experience, proficiency with estimating software, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems and components.
• Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Analyze project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.
• Coordinate with project managers and field leadership during project handoff.
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and historical cost information.
• Review change order requests and prepare cost impacts as required.
• Ensure estimates comply with NEC requirements, local codes, and customer specifications.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project competitiveness.
• Support contract negotiations and clarification meetings with clients.
• Track bid results and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
