Vortex Doors seeks Service Technicians to join our team in Wilmington, NC. Install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial doors and hardware, ensuring safety and quality workmanship.

Applicants with door experience or entry-level candidates with no experience are welcome. Full-time shifts are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with potential overtime and on-call hours. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in commercial door service is a plus, but entry-level candidates are considered.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and accurately.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders as needed.

Responsabilités

• Install and repair a variety of commercial doors and related hardware.
• Diagnose and repair door-related issues, including springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware such as locks, handles, closers, and access control systems.
• Ensure safety and building code compliance for all installations.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and offering solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and installations; provide reports as required.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate cost-effective solutions to customers.
• Perform quality checks to ensure work meets company standards.
