Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking Door Installers to join our team of professionals. You will install, repair, and maintain commercial doors and hardware, ensuring safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Entry-level candidates are welcome with the right mechanical aptitude.

We offer industry-leading training, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits, including uniforms and an annual boot allowance. Full-time shifts are Monday–Friday with potential overtime and some on-call hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in commercial door service a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair a variety of commercial doors and hardware.
• Diagnose and repair door-related issues including springs, hinges, locks and electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware such as locks, handles, closers and access control systems.
• Ensure safety and building code compliance for all installations.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repair processes.
• Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and installations.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate cost-effective solutions to customers.
• Perform quality checks on installations and repairs to meet company standards.
